The LCFR offers a state-of-the-art Wellness and Fitness Center open to all system members, seven days a week. This facility, which includes weight training and cardio equipment, mobility/yoga room, massage chairs, and a classroom, is designed to reduce injuries and related costs and improve resiliency and longevity for our first responders. The center is part of a holistic wellness strategy to improve firefighter health, occupational readiness, and career sustainability.  

In addition to physical fitness, the mental health and well-being of our system members is a top priority. LCFR offers a comprehensive Behavioral Health Program with two dedicated Behavioral Health Coordinators, peer support team, and Chaplain team. Our Behavioral Health Program promotes health, wellness, and resilience in career and volunteer members, and offers services to include education, behavioral health coordination, peer support, and referrals to vetted clinicians and other resources who are first responder competent.
